HAYSVILLE — The Hays Larks opened a three-game series at Haysville with a 15-2 rout over the Aviators on Tuesday night. 

Hays scored five in the first inning and opened up a 7-0 lead by the third on the way to improving to 31-7 overall and 23-6 in the Jayhawk League. 

R.J. Williams and Clayton Rasbeary each had three hits for the Larks, who out-hit the Aviators 16-3. 

Carlos Tavera gave up two runs and three hits in six innings to earn the win for Hays. Toby Scoles pitched the last three innings and didn't give up a hit. 

Game 2 of the series will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Haysville.
