HAYSVILLE — The Hays Larks earned a series win over the Haysville Larks with a 9-6 victory on Thursday night. 

The Aviators led 5-2 after two innings but the Larks answered with four runs in the third and stayed in control. 

Walter Pennington earned the win on the mound. 

The Larks improved to 32-8 overall and now have a five-game lead in the Jayhawk League standings at 24-7 with five league games left to play. 

The Larks will return home to face the Great Bend Bat Cats at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Larks Park.
