A day removed from earning the Jayhawk League championship for the 10th time, the Hays Larks used extra innings to dispose of Great Bend on Sunday night.

The Larks picked up a 5-2 victory in the final road Jayhawk League game of the season, breaking a 2-2 tie in the 10th inning.

Matt Munuz drove in the go-ahead run and Nic Gaddis added a two-run double that gave Hays the edge.

Shane Browning pitched 3.1 innings for the win as Hays moved to 33-9 overall and 25-8 in the league.

The Larks will host Liberal for three games to close out the home portion of the season beginning with a 7 p.m. game today at Larks Park.
