DODGE CITY — On a wet, cool day with many high scores, the Hays High School girls’ golf team was fourth out of 12 teams at the Dodge City Invitational at Mariah Hills Golf Course.

The Indians were paced by a 99 for Emily George, and shot a 420 to finish 35 shots back of team champion Maize.

WAC foe Garden City was third in the team standings with a 399.

George’s 99 was good for 13th place, while Emily McGuire shot a 105 to finish in 19th place. Talia McCrae and Sophia Garrison rounded out Hays High’s top four with a 106 and 110 respectively.

Brittani Park (115) and Molly Eikenberry (122) also were in Hays High’s top six.

Garden City’s Alyssa McMillen won the event with an eight-over 81. Garden City also had Elena Lemke medal with a fifth-place 93.
