HOLCOMB — The Thomas More Prep-Marian volleyball team went 3-2 in the Holcomb tournament on Saturday, placing second.
In pool play, the Monarchs beat Goodland (25-22, 25-16), lost to Ulysses (19-25, 17-25) and beat Lakin (25-12, 25-16).
TMP took down Dodge City in the semifinals, 25-18 and 26-24, before falling to Ulysses, 23-25, 17-25, in the championship match.
"We played our best volleyball this season," TMP coach Natausha Dreher said. "I am excited to see continued growth."
TMP, which is 13-10 on the season, will play in a tournament at Plainville on Tuesday.
