GREAT BEND — The Hays High School volleyball team grabbed five wins Saturday the Great Bend Invitational.

With each match lasting just two sets, the Indians’ 5-0 mark pushed their record to 15-9 for the season ahead of Thursday’s home triangular at the HHS gym.

The Indians picked up a 25-23, 25-19 win against Hutchinson, a 25-17, 25-16 win against St. John, a 25-10, 25-17 win against Salina Central, a 25-11, 25-20 win against Phillpsburg and a 25-11, 25-20 win against Great Bend.

Tasiah Nunnery had 59 kills on the day with Hannah McGuire recording 19 assists against Hutchinson, 13 against St. John, 10 against Phillipsburg and 22 against Great Bend.
