“Roads were kind of slick (Monday) morning,” said Chuck Magaha, director of Leavenworth County Emergency Management.

Snow fell at times during the annual Leavenworth County Veterans Day Parade, which took place Monday morning in downtown Leavenworth.

Temperatures were in the 20s for much of the day on Monday in Leavenworth and wind chills were in the low to mid teens, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Leavenworth calls for a high near 33 degrees today.

The weather is expected to warm up during the week with highs in the 40s on Wednesday and Thursday, and a high near 53 degrees on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Somewhat colder conditions may return during the weekend.
