KEARNEY, Neb. — The No. 11-ranked Fort Hays State women’s basketball team improved to 5-0 with an 89-59 win over Chadron State on Sunday in the Health and Sports Center at Nebraska-Kearney. 

Lanie Page led the Tigers with 16 points while Tatyana Legette and Kacey Kennett added 14 and 10, respectively. 

The Tigers were in control throughout, leading 18-10 at the end of the first quarter, 36-22 at halftime and 61-44 at the end of the third. 

Fort Hays went 25 of 61 from the field and had a strong showing at the foul line, going 31 of 38 from the stripe. 

Chadron State (1-5) was plagued by 28 turnovers. 

Fort Hays will be back at home to face Missouri Valley College at 2 p.m. Saturday in Gross Memorial Coliseum.
