John 'Irvin' Wolf, 91, Quinter, died Dec. 4, 2018, at Olathe Health Hospice House, Olathe. 

He was born Sept. 11, 1927, on the family farm near Quinter to Ezra Lawrence Wolf and Zora Blanche (Jamison) Wolf. He attended McPherson College, where he played basketball, and graduated from Kansas State University.

He married Kathleen Boettcher on May 30, 1953. She preceded him in death. He farmed, sold crop insurance for 50 years, and was a grant administrator at Northwest Kansas Planning and Development.

Survivors include four children, Karen (Galen) Heinrich, Paola, Tom (Linda) Wolf, Olathe, Melissa (Sam) Atkins, Hill City, and Kimberly (Rod) Renyer, Quinter; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Ed (Marlene) Wolf, Ithaca, N.Y. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Brethren, Quinter, with burial in the Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
