Larry E. Driscoll, 93, Russell, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at his home.
He was born July 25, 1925, in Wilson to James J. and Elizabeth (Miller) Driscoll. He attended Russell High School and served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division in World War II.
He married Donna Jean Briels on Sept. 1, 1951, in Castle Rock, Colo. She preceded him in death. He was a farmer, and a contract pumper involved in oil production and operations.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Driscoll (Jana), Goddard, Jim Driscoll (Kelly), Russell, and Shawn Driscoll (Suzy), Dallas; five daughters, Colleen Mudd, Colorado Springs, Colo., Connie Griffin (Dennis), Wichita Falls, Texas, Shelly Boxberger, Russell, Jenny Flach (Joe), St. Louis, and Maureen Johnston (Patrick), Dallas; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Vigil and rosary are Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Russell. Services are Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s.
Visitation is Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.
Memorials are suggested to the Russell Wrestling Club or St. Mary’s in care of the mortuary.
