The Hays High boys pulled away from Colby in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Eagles 27-14 in the final frame to take an 82-69 road win on Tuesday.

Hays, which evened its record at 2-2, was led by Trae McCrae’s 17 points. T.J. Nunnery (16 points) Dalyn Schwarz (12) and Cade Swayne (10) joined McCrae in double figures.

Hays High girls 47, Colby 44

The Hays High girls picked up a 47-44 win at Colby on Tuesday, improving to 2-2 on the season.

Hays High led 24-19 at halftime and stretched the advantage to double digits in the third before holding off a late rally from the Eagles. 

The Indian boys and girls teams will be back in action next Tuesday at home against Pratt. 

TMP-Marian boys 42, Pratt 39

The TMP-Marian boys held off Pratt 42-39 on the road to improve to 3-2 on the season, earning their third straight win.

Lucas Lang scored 13 points to lead the Monarchs while Carson Jacobs pulled down nine rebounds. 

TMP-Marian girls 33, Pratt 27

The TMP-Marian girls fell to 2-3 on the season with a 33-27 loss to Pratt on Tuesday.

The Monarch boys and girls team will play host to Oakley on Friday at Al Billinger Fieldhouse.
