Eagle Communications acquires new operations
Eagle Communications announced Monday the purchase and acquisition of broadband operations in 28 communities in Nebraska and one in eastern Colorado from USA Communications.
The 28 Nebraska communities involved in the acquisition are: Albion, Alma, Bellwood, Big Springs, Cedar Rapids, Central City, Franklin, Fullerton, Genoa, Humphrey, Monroe, Newman Grove, Osceola, Palmer, Paxton, Platte Center, Polk, Red Cloud, Richland, Rising City, Schuyler, Shelby, Silver Creek, Spalding, St. Edward and Stromsburg. Burlington, Colo., rounds out the acquisition.
Eagle started in 1948 with KAYS radio in Hays, expanded to KAYS TV in 1958 and in 1962 began cable television operations with Hays Cable TV Co. Since, Eagle has expanded to offer full-service broadband technology, including digital television, high-speed Internet and television service to thousands of households and businesses.
