Oakley woman injured in accident
OAKLEY -- An Oakley woman was hospitalized for possible injuries following a pickup/semi accident on a county road near Oakley.
The accident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gove County roads CC and 12 1 mile east of Oakley.
Janine Renee Hayden, 47, was traveling eastbound in a GMC pickup when she reached to pick something up off the floor and lost control of the vehicle.
Her truck then struck a semi, driven by Hoxie resident Kyle A. Spresser, head on.
Hayden was taken to Logan County Hospital in Oakley for possible injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Spresser was not injured.
