Hays City Commission to discuss water shortage
The Hays City Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at city hall to discuss infrastructure and the area's water shortage.
The commission will vote on authorizing city staff to sign a contract with Covenant Land & Developing Inc. to extend the waterline along 41st Street. The city's cost in the project would not exceed $17,800.
Other agenda items include:
* Commissioners will vote on developing the R9 Ranch in Edwards County to improve the city's long-term water supply.
* The commission will consider appointing Olga Detrixhe and Corrie Zimmerman to the Sister Cities Advisory Board.
