4 arrested in drug sweep

Search warrants were executed Monday in Hays and McCracken, resulting in the arrest of four people on drug-related charges, Ellis County Undersheriff Bruce Hertel said in a statement released Wednesday.

Search warrants were executed Monday in Hays and McCracken, resulting in the arrest of four people on drug-related charges, Ellis County Undersheriff Bruce Hertel said in a statement released Wednesday.

The people arrested were identified as Cy Umboltz, 32, and Jamie Joy Dinges, 45, both of Hays, Dale Sander, 56, Victoria, and Christin Lochmann-Baxter, 37, McCracken.

The four remain in the Ellis County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

While the case has been turned over to the Ellis County Attorney's office, possible charges include distribution or possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Agencies involved in the arrest include the Ellis County Drug Enforcement Unit, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Ellis County Sheriff's office, Hays Police Department and the Rush County Sheriff's office.
