TOPEKA -- Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt today announced a Hays organization has been awarded a grant for $27,650 for its victims' service program.

The grant awarded will fund Options: Domestic and Sexual Violence Services Inc., to provide administrative support and supervision services for victims of domestic violence, dating, stalking, sexual violence and human trafficking.

"The work of our victims' service organizations throughout the state ensure that services are available to crime victims in their hour of need," Schmidt said. "We are proud to support the work of these organizations through the victims services grant programs in our office."

The grant was awarded from the Protection from Abuse Fund.

This year, the Attorney General's Office awarded $2.375 million in grants to local and state crime victim assistance organizations.
