NCK Tech celebrates 50th anniversary

North Central Kansas Technical College will mark the 50th anniversary of the college with a series of events throughout the 2014-15 academic year. North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School began in August 1964 in Beloit. The school expanded and established a satellite campus in Hays in 1974. The school became a technical college in 1994, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and continues its commitment to high-quality technical education.

The anniversary celebration will begin Aug. 23 on the Beloit campus, and activities include a 5K walk/run in the morning and a "Golden Opportunities" dinner and auction in the evening. Individuals, businesses and alumni are invited to participate in the events, become an event sponsor or donate items for the auction.
