FHSU president decision expected Friday

Fort Hays State University could have a new president by mid-morning Friday.

The Kansas Board of Regents sent out a notice late Thursday afternoon announcing a special board meeting at 10:30 a.m. Friday on the Fort Hays campus.

The regents Thursday interviewed finalists to fill the position of Edward Hammond, who is retiring from the presidency this summer after 27 years at the post.
