Colorado man injured after falling asleep at the wheel
QUINTER -- A Colorado man was injured early Friday morning after falling asleep at the wheel on Interstate 70.
Chase Riley McClune, 23, Lone Tree, Colo., was westbound on I-70 just before 2:30 a.m. when he fell asleep, woke up and overcorrected, entering the north ditch, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report. His vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its wheels. The accident occurred approximately 3 miles west of Quinter. McClune was taken to Gove County Medical Center in Quinter with injuries. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
