17 vehicles stopped during patrol


During the Thanksgiving Traffic Enforcement campaign recently completed, the Ellis County Sheriff's Department conducted overtime saturation patrols to primarily enforce Kansas' impaired driving and occupant restraint laws.

From Nov. 25 to Dec. 1, officers conducted one driving while suspended arrest and issued nine safety belt citations and two speeding citations; along with two other citations.

In total, officers made 17 enforcement stops during the campaign.
