Aaron Lee McKinney, 33, Hoxie, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Hoxie.

He was born March 21, 1981, in Garden City to Leroy Dean and Mary Louise (Creighton) McKinney.

He married Tanya Diane (Eckhoff) McKinney on Aug. 9, 2003, in Hutchinson. He was an emergency room physician's assistant at Sheridan County Health Complex in Hoxie, Sedan, Atwood and St. Francis.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Colin Dean McKinney and Jackson Lee McKinney; a daughter, Ella Opal McKinney; his mother, Kincaid; three brothers, David McKinney, LaCygne, Shawn, Osage City, and Nathan McKinney, Kincaid; and two sisters, Christie Blue, Junction City, and Suzanne Anderson, Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Louellen and Nettie McKinney, and Jane and Leoti Creighton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Colby; burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Memorials are suggested to Aaron L. McKinney Children's Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
