Adelinde M. "Linda" Bollig, 85, Hays, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at St. John's of Victoria.

She was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Catherine to Phillip and Rosa (Karlin) Leikam.

She married Virgil M. Bollig on April 5, 1948, in Catherine. He preceded her in death Aug. 1, 2005. She was a retired cook from St. Anthony's Hospital for 23 years.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, and "Herzog Hotties" Red Hat Society, Victoria.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis and wife, Kristine, Ellis, and Wayne and wife, Connie, Topeka; two daughters, Karen Strachan and husband, Jay, Russell, and Donna Brohman, Downs; a brother, Connie Leikam, Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Hedy Allen, Hays; nine grandchildren, Scott Bollig, David Bollig, Jamie Stutterheim, Martin Strachan, Melissa Wellbrock, William Brohman, Jennifer Brohman, Matt Bollig and Tom Bollig; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine.

A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Southwind Hospice, St. John's of Victoria or Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka, in care of the funeral home.
