Agnes M. Waldschmidt, 89, Ellis, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

She was born July 21, 1923, in rural Ellis County to Zacheus and Monica (Rupp) Fisher. She attended school in Ellis County. She married Rudolph Waldschmidt on Oct. 5, 1943, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2009. She was a homemaker and cook at Ellis Good Samaritan Center.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both in Ellis.

Survivors include four sons, Ronald Waldschmidt and wife, Diana, Russell, John Waldschmidt and wife, Linda, Victoria, Charlie Waldschmidt and wife, Verlene, and Pete Waldschmidt and wife, Sandy, all of Ellis; seven daughters, Connie Fink and husband, Ernie III, Ellis, Phyllis Richards and husband, Johnny, WaKeeney, Viola Fischer, Ellis, Judy Herman and Jack Carver, Ellis, Paula Befort and husband, Howard, Ellis, Dee Dee Dolny and husband, Bruce, Shawnee and Debbie Herman and husband, Randy, Ellis; two sisters, Delores Pfannenstiel and husband, Virgil, Munjor and Georgine Jacobs, Gorham; four brothers, Alvin, Cyril, Francis and Victor Fisher, all of Hays; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Waldschmidt; a grandson, Scott Waldschmidt; a sister, Rita Mae Giebler; and two brothers, Ralph and Edwin Fisher.

Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Church in care of the funeral home.
