Agnes Rohr, 96, Hays, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society of Hays.

She was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Ellis to Frank P. and Katherine (Schoenberger) Brown.

She married Gerhardt Rohr on Jan. 29, 1936, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Sept 7, 1978. She was a homemaker and housekeeper.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

She was an avid seamstress, enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Rohr and wife, Jeneice, Walker, and Leroy Rohr and wife, Kimberly, La Crosse; a daughter, Pauline Meis, Catherine; a brother, Bernie Brown, Dodge City; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight step- great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Evelyine Hatfield; a son, Julius Rohr; a granddaughter, Paula Rose Meis; five brothers, Celestine Brown, Vincent Brown, John Brown, Leonard Brown and William (Shorty) Brown; and six sisters, Frances Weaver, Mary Brown, Barbara Brungardt, Annie VonFeldt, Vera Yates and Theresa Wealert.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Ellis.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at Brock's Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.

A rosary/vigil will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Masses, in care of the funeral home.
