Alice Lucille Nemechek, 81, Ness City, formerly of Goodland, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at her home.

She was born March 14, 1931, in Ellis County to Isidor and Lidwina (Yonker) Kreutzer. She attended Ellis County Public Schools.

She married Leo Eugene Nemechek on Aug. 31, 1948, in Ellis County. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1992.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Goodland, and St. Ann's Circle and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Women's Bowling Association and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Nemechek and wife, Michele, Ulysses, and Dan Nemechek and wife, Kim, Olathe; a daughter, Diane Medina and husband, David, Ness City; two brothers, LeRoy Kreutzer and wife, Sandy, Hays, and Marvin Kreutzer, Bennett, Colo.; five sisters, Anna Sander, Englewood, Colo., Verla Staab and husband, Roger, and Millie Flax, all of Hays, Neola Schmidtberger, Russell, and Ferma Pfannenstiel and husband, Jim, WaKeeney; eight grandchildren, Dustin Nemechek, Michelle Medina, Angela Nemechek, Melissa Murray, John Medina, Zane Nemechek, Zach Nemechek and Courtney Nemechek; and seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Crosswhite, Ian Murray, Kayla Nemechek, Michael Nemechek, Addison Bergeron, Riley Crosswhite and Kaden Murray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, LeRoy Kreutzer and Kenny Kreutzer; and a granddaughter, Jill Medina.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Goodland; burial in Goodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 7 p.m. Mountain time Wednesday at Koons Chapel, Goodland.

A vigil/rosary will be at 9 a.m. Mountain time Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
