Alice Mae Kandt, 82, Hays, formerly of Yuma, Colo., died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Via Christi Village, Hays.

She was born May 8, 1931, in Bancroft, Neb., to Carl and Louise (Schmidt) Repschlaeger.

She was a homemaker, worked as a nursing assistant and as a clerk at the Yuma 7-Eleven store.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Hays, and St. John Lutheran Church, Yuma, and participated in church activities at both churches.

She was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Survivors include three sons, Gregory Kandt and wife, Charmane, and Wes Kandt, all of Hays, and Dale Kandt and wife, Beth, Walsh, Colo.; a sister, LaDonna Meske and husband, Orlan, Denver; and five grandchildren, Keslie, Derek, Kendall, Toby and Taylor Kandt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl, in 1985; her parents; two brothers, LeRoy and Kurt Repschlaeger; and a sister, Leora Englebart.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Hays; inurnment will be at a later date in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.

Memorials are suggested to Fort Hays Neuromuscular Center or Lutheran Hour.
