Alma A. (Leiker) Sanders, 82, Hays, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Munjor to Theodore and Elizabeth (Gabel) Leiker. She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High.

She married Ralph F. Sanders on Aug. 13, 1955, in Munjor. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 2011.

She was an X-ray technician at Hays Orthopedic Clinic from 1959 until she retired in 1994.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella, all of Hays. Survivors include a son, Paul Sanders, Hays; a daughter, Barbara Brenner and husband, Darrell, Ness City; two brothers, Clifford Leiker and wife, Vera, Silver Lake, and Tony Leiker and wife, Janet, Wichita; six sisters, Sister Mary Elise Leiker, C.S.A., Fond du Lac, Wis., Linda Braun, Hays, Freda Wiesner and husband, Roman, Ellis, Firma Dechant, Juliana Urbanek and husband, Keith, and Carol Wadley and husband, Duane, all of Wichita; a sister-in-law, Lillian Leiker, Hays; five grandchildren, Sara Siercks, Heather (John) Yates, Cory Stein, Clinton Stein and Anthony Martinez; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Siercks and Tye Yates.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Maurice "Moe" Leiker.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, a Hays American Legion Auxiliary/Hays VFW Auxiliary memorial services and a Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, all at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, in care of the mortuary.
