Almeda Regina (Kuhn) Stecklein, 84, Great Bend, and formerly of Munjor, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Great Bend Health and Rehab Center.

She was born March 21, 1927, in Victoria to Joseph J. and Anna (Hammerschmidt) Kuhn. She married Nicholas "Nick" Stecklein on Feb. 4, 1961, in Victoria. He preceded her in death July 19, 2006.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor, and she enjoyed bingo, needlework, jigsaw puzzles and dancing.

Survivors include a daughter, Jolene Marie Stecklein, Great Bend; a sister, Lorene Miller, Stockton; two sisters-in-law, Otillia Kuhn, Victoria, and Sylvia Stecklein, Pratt; special family friend and neighbor, Ed Richey, Great Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alfred and Edward Kuhn; and a sister, Viola Popp.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor; burial in St. Francis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.

A parish vigil service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Francis of Assisi Church or Masses in care of the funeral home.
