Alvin Eugene Wray, 73, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at his son's home in Fort Scott.

He was born May 12, 1936, in Centropolis to Edna Pearl (Flory) and Covy Guy.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Arlan Wray and wife, Anna Marie, Fort Scott; two daughters, Brenda Wilson and husband, Steve, Pomona, and Sharon McCallop and husband, James, Overland Park; five brothers, Leonard and wife, Elsie, Pomona, Lester and wife, Rozetta, Laura, Ohio, Leland and wife, Flo, Thomasville, Pa., Wayne and wife, Donna, Logansport, Ind., and John and wife, Laura, New Carlisle, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ellen Marie Wray in 1945 and Velma Louise Wray in 1951.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ottawa University Chapel; burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067.
