Anna Katherine (Arnold) Newell, 93, Hoxie, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Sheridan County Health Complex Long Term Care, Hoxie.

She was born Dec. 19, 1918, in Iliff, Colo., to Jacob B. and Barbara (Younger) Arnold.

She married Edward Joseph Newell on Dec. 31, 1945, in Leoville. He preceded her in death May 13, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Newell, Hoxie, and Stanley Newell, Hays; a daughter, Shirley Heier, Park; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Hoxie; burial in St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, Hoxie.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Masses or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
