Anna 'Marjorie' Linenberger

Anna "Marjorie" Linenberger, 86, La Junta, Colo., formerly of La Crosse, Arizona, California and Dodge City, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta.

She was born March 20, 1926, in McCracken to William and Margaret (McGaughey) Wierman. She attended Fort Hays State University, receiving her teaching certificate.

She married Leo V. Linenberger on June 18, 1946, in McCracken. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1992. She taught at Hampton and Victory Schools in Rush and Ness counties and was a sales representative for Stanley Home Products Co. for more than 45 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and Altar Society. She was a Boy Scout volunteer.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Linenberger and wife, Valerie, Aurora, Colo., and Patrick Linenberger and wife, Jackie, Korea; two daughters, Patricia Zortman and husband, Terry, Plano, Texas, and Nancy Bryan and husband, Larry, La Junta; three brothers, Francis and James Wierman, McCracken, and Keith Wierman, Minneapolis; a sister, Betty Greenway, McCracken; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons; a son, James L. Linenberger, in 1968; three brothers, William Jr., Albert and Eugene; and four sisters, Gertrude Brackney, Marie Pfannenstiel, Delores Chlumsky and Mildred Kraisinger.

Services were Tuesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral; burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

Memorials are suggested to Marjorie Linenberger Memorial Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City.
