Armella Mary (Pfeifer) Passini, 82, Highland Park, Ill., died Friday, April 5, 2013, at Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center in Glenview.

She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Vincent to Jacob and Regina Nee: Brungardt Pfiefer. She attended first grade in Russell County Rural School. She finished grade school and high school in Hays, graduating with honors from Hays High School in the class of 1948.

She married Meno Sam Passini on Dec. 21, 1956. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1997. She a resident of Highland Park, where they raised their family since 1956.

She enjoyed music, dance, politics, books, cooking and her loved ones. The most important part of her life was her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; this was the foundation she used to raise her family and live her life by.

Survivors include a son, Meno Joseph Passini, Highland Park; four daughters, Maria Klabon, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Regina Kennedy, Northbrook, Rose DiPietro and husband, Michael, Highland Park and Kimberly Shefner and husband, Andrew, McHenry; a brother, Ralph Pfeifer and wife, Ruth, Olathe; four sisters, Alice Schmidt, Russell, Charlotte Ludwick, Fredericksburg, Va., Catherine Olson and husband, Thomas, Westminster, Colo., and Rozanne French and husband, Gerald, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Sheila Pfeifer, Hays; eight grandchildren, Quinton and Ross Klabon, Michael and John Kennedy, Casondra and Peter DiPietro and Joshua and Matthew Shefner; and twin great-grandchildren, Connor and Collin Klabon.

She was preceded in death by Richard Schmidt, Jack Ludwick, Daniel J. and Theresa Pfeifer, Rudolph and Irma Pfeifer, Jacob Pfeifer, Kiliana and Cyril Schmidt, Lorraine and George Williamson, Louise and Fred Scandura, the first Rudolph Pfeifer, and the late William.

Services were Wednesday at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Ill,; burial in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.

Memorials are suggested to Midwest Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 2050 Clair Court, Glenview, IL 60025.
