Barbara Jean 'B.J.' Poore

Barbara Jean "B.J." Poore, 63, Stockton, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Wichita.

She was born Aug. 6, 1950, in Kingman to M.J. "Shorty" and Martha (Dondelinger) Sullivan.

She married Larry Poore on Sept. 21, 1979, in Hays.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Michael Poore, Stockton; two daughters, Betty Foose, Stratton, Colo., and Jennifer Hopkins, Towner, Colo.; two brothers, Robert Sullivan, Pratt, and William "Bill" Sullivan, Ragu; two sisters, Lynda Grimsley, Noble, Okla., and Cindy Hall, Haviland; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Stockton; burial in Woodston Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.

Memorials are suggested to Rooks County 4-H Council or Pheasants Forever in care of the funeral home.
