Benton W. Homewood

Benton W. Homewood, 65, Wakefield, died Sunday, July 13, 2008.

He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Luray.

He was a retired school teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Homewood, of the home; three sons, Travis Homewood, Jacksonville, Fla., Derreck Homewood, Kirtland, N.M., and Michael Homewood, Arizona; three daughters, Mindy Heater, Augusta, Denise Dunivan, Junction City, and Pam McCullum, Wakefield; his mother, Mrs. Lavina Gray, Russell; two brothers, David Homewood, Russell, and Rocky Homewood, Skiatook, Okla.; two sisters, Lois Boyd and Vera Karst, both of Russell; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rodrick and Minear Luray Chapel; burial in Luray Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to American Kidney Fund in care of the funeral home.
