Bernadine L. Shick

Bernadine Lavon Shick, 80, Norton, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Andbe Home, Norton.

She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Alexandria, S.D., to the Rev. Charles and Laverne (Sheldon) Walz. She attended grade and high school in South Dakota.

She married Robert Shick on Nov. 25, 1964, in Norcatur.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Jim Shick Jr., Phoenix, John Shick, Ocala, Fla., and Eric Fouts, Norton; four daughters, Roberta Price, Pierce, Neb., Vickie Fuhrman, Huntington, Ind., Teresa Tipper, Chiloquin, Ore., and Carla Hawks, Almena; a brother, David Walz, Philippines; six sisters, Betty Chambers, Topeka, Alta Stahn, Huntington, Ind., Donna Rother, Medicine Lodge, Marlene Russo, Phoenix, DeAnn Keim, Sabetha, and Billie Saavedra, Albuquerque, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Enfield Funeral Home, Norton; private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to Eagles Lodge Cancer Fund in care of the funeral home.
