Bernice (Herman) Lang, 82, Ellis, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at her home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Ellis to Nick and Anna (Lang) Herman.

She married Syl Lang on June 7, 1950, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1985. She was a homemaker and worked at Baxter-Travenol for 101รขÑ2 years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

She enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends, listening to polka music and baking for her family.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Lang, Ellis, Floyd Lang and wife, Cindy, Mountain Home, Ark., and Roger Lang and wife, Trena, Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Danita Fisher and husband, Paul, Ellis; three brothers, Ervin "Sunny" Herman and Lawrence "Lawdy" Herman, both of Ellis, and Leroy Herman, Westminster, Colo.; two sisters, Sr. Annice Herman, Fon Du Lac, Wis., and Rita Mae Shubert, Lakewood, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Jayson Lang, Ja`net Rieve, Cory Lang, Tyler Fisher, Cody Fisher, Brandi Sunderman, Dylan Lang and Whitney Lang; and two great-grandchildren, Penelope Lang and Kitana Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, both at the church.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a vigil, both at the church.

Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church.
