Beverly Morrissey, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Elk City, Okla.

She was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Offerle to Marie and John Burkhart. She grew up in Offerle and Hays. She was a graduate of Hays High School.

She married Charles Morrissey on Nov. 25, 1949, in Hays. He preceded her in death in 1975. She moved to Elk City in 1977 and began her career with Walmart.

Survivors include a son, Charles Michael Morrissey, Wichita; three daughters, Pam McLemore and Linda Dozheir, both of Elk City, and Diane Allen, Wichita; two sisters, Marva Henn, Terra Bella, Calif., and Norma Persyn, San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Morrissey; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whinery-Savage Chapel, Elk City; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Brocks North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of local arrangements.
