Bill Pearson, 90, WaKeeney, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

He was born in Morland to Joseph and Mildred Alice (Clark) Pearson. He was a 1940 graduate of Morland High School.

He married Billy LoRee Brumbaugh on June 7, 1946, in Hill City. She preceded him in death Nov. 13, 2000. He worked for United Telephone Co. for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Brownlee and Shelly Washington, both of Garden City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl Evinger.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ogallah Christian Church; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery, with military honors.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.

Memorials are suggested to Ogallah Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
