Bridget A. Diehl, 95, Hays, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at St. John's of Hays Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 29, 1913, in Pfeifer to Frank P. and Magdelina (Kisner) Jacobs.
She married William F. Diehl on March 3, 1930, in Hays. He preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1994. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Hays.
Survivors include three sons, William D. Diehl and Michael F. Diehl, both of Hays, and Kenneth J. Diehl and wife, Carol, Rocklin, Calif.; six daughters, Virginia M. Ekey, Lillian VanLoenen and husband, Doug, Janice Krannawitter and husband, Don G., and Kristina Schmidt, all of Hays, Judy Pohlenz and husband, Paul, Naponee, Neb., and Karen Swain and husband, David, Lawrence; two brothers, Robert Jacobs, Santa Anna, Calif., and James Jacobs and wife, Virginia, Hays; 31 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jacob; a daughter, Kathleen; two grandchildren, Cynthia Ekey and Kenneth Diehl Jr.; three sisters, Barbara Terenzi, Ann Stieger and Wilma Sokal; and three brothers, Bernard Jacobs, Alfred Jacobs and Ralph Jacobs.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine.
A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are to be designated at a later date.
