Carmen Belling, 63, Dodge City, formerly of Hays, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Kansas Soldiers Home, Halsey Hall, Fort Dodge.

She was born Nov. 7, 1950, in Montclair, N.J., to Adolph and Rose Ruggerio Gruchacz. She received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

She married David Belling on Dec. 23, 1981, in Prairie Village. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

She was patriotic and enjoyed watching Fox News.

Survivors include her husband, Dodge City; two daughters, Cherie Cell and husband, James, Great Bend, and Beth Miller and husband, Ted, Holcomb; two brothers; four sisters; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City; burial in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Fort Dodge, with military honors by Howard Gotschall VFW Post No. 1714 and the U.S. Air Force.

Friends can call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
