Charlene Ewing, 71, Phillipsburg, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.

She was born Oct. 22, 1942, in Smith County to Burl and Velma (Baetz) Hines.

She married Leland Ewing.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Randy Ewing; a daughter, Melany Jackson, both of Phillipsburg; four sisters, Darlene Green, Albuquerque, N.M., Barbara Robinson, Clayton, Tammie Wheelbarger, Kensington, Mary Hansen, Hastings, Neb.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garold and Velma Frase.

Srvices will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Hillsdale Cemetary.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Phillips County Hospital nursing staff.
