Clayton Daniel Zimmer, 40, Hays, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born March 2, 1974, in Tripoli, Libya, to Marvin and Janice (Oller) Zimmer. He was a 1992 graduate of Hays High School.

He worked in computer tech support for SYKES Enterprises for many years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.

He enjoyed computers and helping friends with their computers, and was an avid KU basketball and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Survivors include his parents, Hays; a brother, Greg Zimmer, Hays; his aunts and uncles, Marian Spittles and Mary Zimmer, Hays, Wilma Payne and husband, John, Topeka, Peggy Braun and husband, Bernie, McPherson, Judy White and husband, Donald, Wichita, Donna Smith and husband, Duke, Wisconsin Dells, Wis., and LaVerne Withington, Atwood; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Caroline Zimmer, and Dale and Doris Oller; two uncles, Gene and Gerald Zimmer; and an aunt, Judy Withington.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine.

A vigil/rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Spina Bifida Association, March of Dimes or Shriners Hospitals for Children in care of the funeral home.
