Lois A. Collins, 88, Plainville, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Redbud Village, Plainville.

She was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Cortland, Neb., to Herman and Mary (Oldemeyer) Mahlman. She graduated from Hickman High School.

She married Francis L. "Frank" Collins on Oct. 23, 1940, in Hickman, Neb. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1996.

Survivors include a son, Dan Collins, Plainville; a brother, Hank Mahlman, Sibley, Iowa; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Plainville; burial in Plainville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with family being present from 7 to 8 p.m., both at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Rooks County Health Center Building Fund in care of the funeral chapel.
