Cora Elizabeth (Kindall) Ashmore

Cora Elizabeth (Kindall) Ashmore, 99, Syracuse, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Hamilton County Hospital, Syracuse.

She was born March 23, 1913, to John M. and Florence M. (Rogers) Kindall. She was a 1932 graduate of Coolidge High School.

She married Lawrence Truett (L.T.) Ashmore on July 7, 1933. He preceded her in death March 14, 1975.

Survivors include four sons, Alton Ashmore, Hays, John Ashmore, Syracuse, Bill Ashmore, Logan, and Lynn Ashmore, Syracuse; two daughters, Janet Valdez, Arboles, Colo., and Nancy Krause, Broadview, Mont.; 33 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois E. Albright; a son, Lawrence Truett "Larry" Ashmore; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services were Saturday at First Christian Church, Syracuse; burial in Syracuse Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Hamilton County Historical Society or Hamilton County Hospital in care of Fellers Funeral Home and Monuments LLC, P.O. Box 1253, Syracuse, KS 67878.
