Dale Vincent Simoneau, 58, Hays, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1954, in Hays to Anselm and Ilene (Hamel) Simoneau. He was a 1972 graduate of Palco High School.
He married Paula Thyfault on June 7, 1975, in Damar. He was an auctioneer and salesman for Farmland Auction and Realty for the last 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, Weston Simoneau and wife, Brianne (Dusin), Overland Park, and Philip Simoneau and wife, Holly (Bowling), Ponte Vedra, Fla.; three daughters, Jana Sutton and husband, Robert, Florence, Miss., Randi Stephens and husband, Greg, Park City, Utah, and Mary Thyfault, Jacksonville, Fla.; his parents, Hays; three brothers, Richard Simoneau, Damar, Rodney Simoneau, Lakewood, Colo., and Bryan Simoneau and wife, Dana (Hamel), Damar; a sister, Sandra Orth and husband, Steve, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and seven grandchildren, Will and Drew Simoneau, Ryan, Felix and Brooke Simoneau, and Lauren and Halie Sutton.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Donna Simoneau.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Damar; burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Damar, or St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays, in care of the funeral home.
