Darold W. Jennings, 81, Plainville, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Rooks County Health Center, Plainville.

He was born May 15, 1932, Braman, Okla., to C.R. "Buck" and Pauline Jennings.

He married Dian (Languein) Jennings on Nov. 26, 1954, in Codell.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Doug Jennings, Plainville; a daughter, Debra Eaves, Wichita; two sisters, Fontella Dooley, Salina, and Mazie White, Riverton, Utah; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Plainville United Methodist Church; burial in Shiloh Cemetery, Codell.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville.

Memorials are suggested to Reeder-Dinkel-Westhusin VFW Post No. 8871 or Codell Service Club in care of the funeral home.
