Lloyd Davis

Lloyd Davis, 88, Russell, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems, Beloit.

He was born July 26, 1919, in Ada, Okla., to Joe and Delphia Davis. He was a 1940 graduate of Ada High School.

He married Evelyn Echols on Jan. 12, 1940, in Coalgate, Okla. He started Allied Cementing.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Ron Davis, Russell, and Jim Davis, Olathe; a daughter, Ruth Ann Hutson, Boise, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to Bible Baptist Church in care of the mortuary. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.pvpmortuary.com.
