Donald Boone Delaney

Donald Boone Delaney, 77, Sterling, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor.

He was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Ness County to Lorin and Ruby Goss Delaney.

He married Paulette Margot on Aug. 29, 1953, in Verdun, France. He was an aerial sprayer and mechanic.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence Delaney, Houston; three daughters, Lynda Schlegel, Francine Fundenberger and Cindy Wilder, all of Lyons; a sister, Verda Albin, Quinter; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City; burial in Ness City Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Sterling Presbyterian Manor in care of the funeral home.
