Delbert D. Goering, 81, Moundridge, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Memorial Home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1927, in McPherson County to Benjamin B.J. and Anna (Goering) Goering.

He married Julaine J. Preheim on May 26, 1955, in Freeman, S.D. He was an elementary school teacher and administrator.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Goering and wife, Annette, Great Bend; a daughter, DeAnna Goering, Hutchinson; three brothers, Milo Goering, Halstead, Orlando Goering, Freeman, and Clarence Goering, Moundridge; a sister, Dorothy Krehbiel, Inman; and two grandchildren, Lindsey Elsen and husband, Cory, and Kendra Goering, all of Hays.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eden Mennonite Church; burial in church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moundridge Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to MCC or Bethel College in care of the funeral home.
