Dennis A. Schmidt, 58, Wichita, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Wichita Specialty Hospital.

He was born Sept. 21, 1950, in Wichita to Paul and Jeanie (Obenhaus) Schmidt. He was a graduate of La Crosse High School and Fort Hays State University.

He was a employed at WM Sales, Wichita.

Survivors include four brothers, Dan Schmidt and wife, Debbie, Lawrence, Greg Schmidt and wife, Dawn, and Donald Schmidt, all of Hays, and Gary Schmidt and wife, Karen, La Crosse; two nephews; four nieces; five great-nephews; and five great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jeanie (Obenhaus) Schmidt; and an infant brother, John Schmidt.

Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in La Crosse City Cemetery.

Friends can call from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.

Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or First Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
